PROMYS Europe - Former Executive Director
The PROMYS community is deeply saddened by Dr. Neale's death on May 3, 2023. Vicky Neale was the Whitehead Lecturer at the Mathematical Institute and Supernumerary Fellow at Balliol College, University of Oxford. Dr. Neale earned her Ph.D. at Trinity College, Cambridge in 2011. She divided her time between teaching undergraduates and working on outreach and public engagement with mathematics. Her first book, Closing the Gap: the quest to understand prime numbers, was published by Oxford University Press in October 2017. Dr. Neale was involved with PROMYS Europe from its first summer program in 2015 and served on the PROMYS Europe Board.
