25th Summer Celebration

PROMYS's 25th Summer Celebration
July 5 – 7, 2013

Some of the alums at the PROMYS 25th Summer Celebration - July, 2013

PROMYS has been in existence for a quarter of a century and celebrated this milestone during the PROMYS 25th Summer Celebration on the weekend of Friday, July 5, 2013 – Sunday, July 7, 2013. There were alum talks on math and on physics and finance. There were also panel discussions and mixers. On the evening of Saturday, July 6, there was a festive reception and banquet. The Celebration included alum performances (music, math anecdotes, impressions, walking on hands and more), a Frisbee match, games, problem solving and other activities. Alum committees spearheaded the preparations. Current PROMYS participants joined the festivities as did at least 220 of our alumni, friends and members of the broader mathematical community. This was a joyful reunion for the many people with strong social, intellectual, and emotional ties to PROMYS and an opportunity for current participants to meet the world-wide PROMYS community.
