A PROMYS alum from the early 1990s, Wan-Yin Wu brings extensive experience from the financial sector and a strong commitment to the program’s mission. Wan-Yin is currently Head of Product at Hudson Bay Capital Management, where she leads technological innovation for portfolio managers and traders. She previously held senior leadership roles at J.P. Morgan, including Head of Treasury Resolution Derivatives and Trading Strategy, and Head of Capital Analysis in Market Risk Quant Research. Her earlier roles include strategist positions at Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs, as well as co-founding the startup hedge fund Maratan Partners. Wan-Yin holds an Executive MBA from Columbia Business School and an S.B. with honors in Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering from Harvard University. Wan-Yin served on the Board of Trustees of the PROMYS Foundation (2016-2025), including as President for three years. She is excited to give back to PROMYS and help shape its continued impact on mathematical education.
