Wan-Yin Wu (PROMYS 1992), Board Chair & President

Wan-Yin Wu served on the Board of Trustees of the PROMYS Foundation (2015-2025), becoming its President in 2022. A PROMYS alum from the early 1990s, Wan-Yin brings extensive experience from the financial sector and a strong connection to the program’s mission. She has held senior leadership roles across quantitative finance and financial technology, including as Head of Product at Hudson Bay Capital Management and at J.P. Morgan, where she served as Head of Treasury Resolution Derivatives and Trading Strategy and Head of Capital Analysis in Market Risk Quant Research. Earlier in her career, she worked as a strategist at Lehman Brothers and in FX sales and options trading at Goldman Sachs. Wan-Yin holds an Executive MBA from Columbia Business School and an S.B. with honors in Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering from Harvard University. She is dedicated to giving back to PROMYS and to strengthening its long-term impact on mathematics education.
