Steven Rosenberg is Professor of Mathematics at Boston University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1981. His research interests include differential geometry in finite and infinite dimensions, particularly with applications to/from mathematical physics. He is the author of the book, The Laplacian on a Riemannian Manifold, aimed at graduate students and now in its second printing. For many years at PROMYS, he taught a popular advanced seminar, Geometry and Symmetry.
